Our Story

Every Climb Tells a Story

Climb for a Cause was founded in memory of Fiona Cribben, the sister of founder Niall Cribben, who died from breast cancer in 2019. Fiona was a creative force — an artist, designer, mother and sister who embraced life with extraordinary courage. She lived with a remarkable spirit, finding joy in creativity, adventure and the people around her.

Her story is at the heart of Climbing For A Cause. We climb in her memory, celebrating her life and inspiring others to make a difference, embrace opportunity and leave their own mark on the world.

Because everyone has a Fiona — someone we carry with us, whose memory reminds us why we climb, why we care and why we should make a difference.

Every summit climbed. Every challenge faced. Every friendship formed.

Creates hope for someone else.

This is where mountains become meaningful.

In her words

"If I could have a fundamental approach for living the best life, it would be to laugh more, share more, give more, learn more, love more."
